I’ve been back home to New Hampshire for a little over a week. It was great to meet Brian and the kids in Florida. We saw two colleges and saw some sights around Tampa. Victoria liked the huge campus environment and is now investigating study abroad programs. She has an interest in international business. It’s fun watching her ideas evolve through the search.
Hunter enjoyed coming along. He’s looking forward to high school next year but I could see his wheels turning as he thinks about what he wants to do too.
Brian was making front page news last week over legal issues with the liquor commission. I’m glad we had a week together as a family before coming home to all of that. I hear my spiritual advisor Umesh Nandwani’s words in my head. “Stay positive…Be compassionate, but detach…Do something today to move yourself forward.” So, that’s what I’m doing.
I have some upcoming workshops and programs I’m looking forward to and planning. The rest of the time I’m focusing on the routines of family life and getting in back in touch with everyone here.
I’m enjoying our yard this spring. Yesterday I bought flowers to plant and I’m going to try a veggie garden in planters this summer. We filled our fountain and turned our sprinklers on. Today at lunch I watched tons of birds, a squirrel and chipmunk enjoying the water. That was very peaceful.
I’m still processing seeing 4 countries and doing 3 retreats in such a short time. It was so amazing and I can’t believe how much I did and saw. It’s been fun sharing my adventures with my friends and family. So, if you see me out and about, please ask me about my trip.
I’ll also be sharing pictures and what I’ve learned from other cultures and my spiritual journey at a talk on Peace, Love and Happiness on Mary 31st from 7:30-9 pm at the Nashua Country Club. I hope you can join me!
